We came to Koh Lanta with a ferry ride from Koh Phi Phi. After experiencing the energeticand hyper streets of the main island and the all-night discos and parties.
Koh Lanta was the perfect place to get away from the madness, to unwind and relax on the pristine beaches and sip cocktails watching the sun go down.
The sunsets on Koh Lanta are some of the best we have ever witnessed and the quietness of the beaches make’s it your own little private paradise while sipping on a cocktail or two.
Koh Lanta the Food
Take a trip to the local restaurants and be greeted with the friendliest of welcomes from the local people.
Dive right into the wonderful cuisine with the noodle soup, Thai curries and not forgetting the famous PadThai. Thai food cooked by the locals is always the best way to sample the various selection of flavours that Thailand has to offer. You can have it as spicy or non-spicy as you chose and the Thai people will always try to accommodate your needs with no effort what so ever.
Scoot around the island on your own hired little scooter that you can find easily from so many places. A scooter is the best and cheapest form of transport and can take you anywhere. Make sure to visit the national park with amazing beauty that takes you right into nature by hiking the trials through the jungle and visiting the lighthouse.
But!! beware of the monkeys on this paradise Island. They don’t really bother you, however they do like stealing your personal possessions. So, hide all loose objects especially your sunglasses and make sure you do not feed them. They may look cute but can be dangerous.

A room with a view is always easy to find on any of the islands and also the mainland. It always depends how much you want to pay and what you get for it. Thailand is well known for value accommodation with amazing facilities and Koh Lanta is no exception. From rooms right on the beach to places in the jungle you can find what-ever you are looking for. Walk out your front door and the sand touches your toes, the sound of the sea and the warmth of the sun on your face. You know you are on holiday. Koh Lanta had some of the nicest beaches that you could basically call your own with very little people around to bother you. The luxury of a quiet island. Fall in love with the laid-back atmosphere, long empty beaches, jungle-covered mountains, and spectacular sunsets. There are plenty of places to eat and things to do in Koh Lanta and accommodation for all budgets.
