Coffee War Bangsaray have a new experience. Located on the 331 Just 20 mins from Bangsaray Villa. If You visited Coffee War on the Sukumvit near the Ambassador Hotel you know this is coffee with a twist. Army surplus with coffee. However the new project has old passenger aircraft as coffee shops. There are 3 planes 2 as coffee shops. Seats have been reconfigured to allow for comfort and a bar area has been installed. Entrance fee is 100 baht per person with free coffee/ tea included. In addition a small selection of cakes are available.
The attraction therefore for many young Thais not been on an aircraft. Even for experienced flyers certainly many have not sat in the cockpit. Above all the amount of switches and dials will amaze you. As a result you wonder how they fly? Meanwhile you can ponder while sipping your coffee.
You are free to wander the whole site exploring the aircraft in detail. On site there is a shop selling army memorabilia and artefacts from days past. You will also see an old Austin A1300 from the 1960’s however the condition is poor. In addition there is an old helicopter and aircraft parts to view. It’s a great way to spend the afternoon certainly you will not be bored.
